This week has been a wonderful start at Sembach Elementary!
Our students have truly enjoyed learning in their new spaces, and it has been exciting to
see them explore the playground and their new neighborhoods throughout the building.
Their enthusiasm and curiosity have made this transition especially rewarding.
We would like to sincerely thank our families for their patience and flexibility as we
continue to fine-tune our car line procedures. To help improve efficiency and keep the line
moving safely, we ask families to consider the following tips when possible:
• If your vehicle includes a baby or toddler car seat, please consider placing it behind
the driver’s seat to allow school-aged children to enter and exit more quickly on the
passenger side.
• If your child needs additional time to adjust their safety belt or harness, you may
slowly and carefully pull forward after your child enters the vehicle and stop near the
end of the barrier cubes to assist them. This allows the loading zone to continue
operating safely for other vehicles.
Please be sure to review the notes from Nurse Lee included in this week’s newsletter, as
they contain important health-related information for our families.
Lost and Found Reminder: Our Lost and Found is currently full. Unclaimed items will be
donated on February 1. The last day for students and families to collect lost items will be
January 30.

families have a safe, relaxing, and wonderful weekend.

FEBRUARY 4th: School-Wide Dental Screening February is Children’s Dental Health Month, and we have scheduled a school-wide dental screening on Wednesday, February 4. The Pediatric Dentistry team from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center will conduct the screenings, and students will also receive dental health education during the visit. If you prefer that your student not to participate, please let me know at the email on this flyer. |

FLU vaccine is one of required immunizations Thank you for ensuring your child received their flu vaccination this season. Your commitment to keeping our school community healthy is truly appreciated. If your child has not yet received the flu shot, please try to have it completed before March. If you would like to submit a request for exemption, please let me know at the email on this flyer. |
