Kindness Week
Kindness Week will take place February 10–12 at Sembach Elementary. Each day focuses on spreading positivity, empathy, and appreciation throughout our school community. • Tuesday: Wear your shirt backwards as a reminder that hurtful words cannot be taken back. • Wednesday: There’s comfort in kindness. Wear comfy clothes or pajamas and do something kind for a teacher or staff member. • Thursday: SES Loves Kindness. Wear red, pink, or white and write a positive note or draw a picture for someone in your class.

It has been a very busy and exciting week at Sembach Elementary, and we are incredibly proud of our students and staff for how well they continue to adapt to our new routines and learning spaces. One of the highlights of the week was inducting 17 fifth-grade students into our very first chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society. This was a special moment that celebrated leadership, character, responsibility, and academic excellence, and we are proud of these students for setting such a positive example for our school community.

As we continue to settle into our new building, we truly appreciate our families’ patience and flexibility as we monitor and adjust routines and procedures as needed. Your support has been invaluable as we work through these first weeks together. To help further improve dismissal efficiency and safety, we will be adding additional cones to the car pick-up line beginning Monday. These cones will provide clear stopping locations for drivers and designated areas for students to safely enter their vehicles.

The training will take place on Monday, February 2 at 14:45 in the school library. This training is required for volunteers and will review expectations and procedures. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering this school year to attend.

Have a wonderful weekend!
