Weekly Update | March 3–7
We are just coming off of a truly momentous occasion — the official ribbon cutting of our new school! Friday was a proud day for Sembach Elementary, and we are incredibly thankful for the many families, community members, and distinguished guests who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone. Our students shined, and it was a powerful reminder of what makes this school community so special.
And as always… Sembach is a busy place!
Student Re-Registration Now Open
Re-registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. Please follow the instructions sent out in Dr. Kagel’s email. Every current student must complete re-registration — even if your family will be leaving Sembach Elementary (you will have the opportunity to indicate that during the process).
Be sure to use the Current Student Re-Registration section in the Family Portal when completing your information.
Our goal is to have re-registration completed for every current student by March 25, 2026. Thank you for helping us plan effectively for next year.
Blanket Drive Underway
Our schoolwide blanket drive is in full swing. We are collecting gently used blankets to provide warmth and comfort to patients undergoing medical transport. Our classroom neighborhoods are even having a friendly competition to see who can collect the most blankets. Thank you in advance for supporting this meaningful service project and helping our students make a difference.
Read-A-Thon Continues
Our PTO-sponsored Read-A-Thon is officially underway! This fundraiser directly supports initiatives like the Scholastic Book Fair, where every student receives free books. We encourage all families to sign up, log reading minutes, and help us reach our goal. Thank you to our PTO for the many ways they support our students and staff.
Spring Picture Day – March 4 & 5
Spring individual and class pictures will take place on Tuesday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5. Be sure to check the PTO’s Facebook page for additional details regarding ordering and schedules.
Improving Communication
As our school continues to grow, we are continually working to refine and improve our communication systems. Our school webmaster is actively updating and adding events to the school calendar on our website to ensure families have access to the most current information. We welcome parent feedback and appreciate your partnership as we strive to keep everyone informed and connected.
