Principal's Corner

GREETINGS, TIGER NATION!
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner! With 2nd quarter well underway, we hope that your children have settled into their school routines and that the school year is off to a successful start.
Winter weather in Germany can be unpredictable, bringing unique challenges from day to day.
Please be sure your children are dressed appropriately for the weather each day, in layers would be best.
We go out for recess as much as possible, unless of course there is a steady rain. Does your child have their name in their jackets, coats, sweatshirts and sweaters? Labeling their outer garments will certainly help if items are forgotten at recess or in the cafeteria. Your help is greatly appreciated!
This week, our 3rd-5th grade students participated in the first Math Interim assessment of the year. Students will take 3 Math Interims and 3 Literacy Interim assessments during the year.
These on-line assessments not only provide valuable data and information about how our students are mastering the learning standards, but also helps prepare them for the Summative Assessment at the end of the year. Great job, everyone!
We have some exciting events planned in the next few weeks that we hope you will join us for! Our PTO is sponsoring a BINGO night tonight (Fri. 17 Nov), the Sembach Community Tree Lighting on 1 Dec where our very own Tiger Cub Choir will be singing!
Our next Family Reading Night is 6 December and our Holiday Music Concert, “Songs of the Holiday Season” will happen on 7 December.
